RACE DESCRIPTION

Vung Tau City Trail (VTCT) is an event thanking all participants who have been joining us throughout the past year. Get ready to conquer the magnificent routes of VTCT with exciting steps as a goodbye to the old year and welcome the New Year 2021 - a better year for you and for us!

 

The road and trail combination in a running competition will be first held in Vung Tau, promising to bring a totally new race for participants. Vung Tau City Trail will take participants along beautiful coastal roads and famous landmarks amidst the romantic cherry blossoms in the chilly weather of the year end. The competition will bring an ideal playground for beginners to get started their running race and also a chance for semi-professional or professional athletes to challenge their limits.

 

FORWARD, WE RUN. NEW YEAR, WE SHINE! Let’s continue good practices, change an undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal, and for a new lifestyle, healthier and better!

CANCELLATION AND POSTPONEMENT POLICY


Organizers reserve the right to cancel the event for reasons including: terrorism, war, public health emergency, epidemic, pandemic, civil unrest, weather conditions, ‘acts of god’. In the case that the event course is – in the opinion of the event organizers – unsafe (for example due to weather conditions such as heavy rain, high winds, landslides, “acts of god”), organizers may, at their sole discretion, postpone or cancel the event. 


In case of event cancellation:


- You will get a refund of 50% registration fee if the event cancellation is announced within the period from 06/12/2020 to 13/12/2020.
- You will not get a refund if the event cancellation is announced within the period from 13/12/2020 – 27/12/2020.


In case of event postponement:

All registrations will be preserved until the new schedule of the event and no refund can be given.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION 15KM

The 15km race distance is designed for athletes who get started their trail running. The first challenge is 500m steep coastal roads to Nghinh Phong cape, before climbing 600 steps to Kito God Statue. The efforts will be rewarded with an incredible view of the dawn on the beach amidst the cherry blossoms in the chilly weather of the year end. The downhill trails to the Pig hill will lead you to CP1.

 

The next road section will take you to the Small Mountain foot where you start to conquer another 500m steep road to Vung Tau Lighthouse at the height of 166m on the top of the mountain. Then the trail in the forest will take you to Hai Van Pogoda - the famous tourist attraction in Vung Tau before you reach the next checkpoint.

 

The last part of the route will take you along the most beautiful coastal road of Vung Tau - Ha Long street - through Marina resort, Nghinh Phong cape and finish at Bien Dong Ocean Park.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION 34KM

The 34km race distance is quite hard for experienced runners who are looking for a tough challenge with various terrain. After the warm-up to Nghinh Phong cape, you will take the first challenge to climb 800 steps to Kito God Statue. The efforts will be rewarded with an incredible view of the beaches amidst the cherry blossoms in the chilly weather of the year end. The trails to Pig hill will lead you to the first checkpoint. The road section will take you to a 4km steep road leading to Ho May Park at the height of 250m on the top of the Big mountain. The magnificent scenery of the dawn appears when reaching Ho May Park at checkpoint 3. The trails will take you to discover Ho May Park and run through the forest to reach the Old artillery field - a historic site of Vung Tau.

 

The coastal roads from CP5 to CP7 will take you along beautiful beaches before starting to conquer another 500m steep road to Vung Tau Lighthouse at the height of 166m on the top of the Small mountain. Then the downhill trails will take you to Hai Van Pogoda - the famous tourist attraction in Vung Tau before you reach the last checkpoint.

Each individual who registers to participate in the Vung Tau City Trail declares and acknowledges to have read, understood and agreed to the Terms below and undertakes to comply with and be bound by the same. The term can be changed that is not announced by the organiser.
